Statesville is blessed with a plethora of Chinese restaurants, even though none deliver. Grow Green is by far one of the greatest of these restaurants. I like to test things out with restaurants by ordering "not normal meals", I ordered a large wonton soup, house special fried rice with extra shrimp, an eggroll, and a shrimp roll. The portion sizes are enough to feed 3-4 people, and the taste is superb. This was the first of many visits I plan on making. I'm a very picky eater when it comes to Chinese restaurants but this has definitely made my top 5 in my lifetime so far. The restaurant itself reminds me of most of the Chinese restaurants up north, it's more of a pick up counter than it is a restaurant but they make very good use of the space. They've even got handmade jewelry for sale and if I had a few extra bucks, there's a pair of daisy earrings that looked absolutely beautiful. Thank you very much to the people who work for and own Grow Green.

Fried Chicken Wings tasted odd.. Like perfume!

This take out-only place has the area's best Chinese food, hands down. The waiting area is small, but the portions of food that you get are gratifyingly huge--I am usually able to get supper plus 2 or 3 lunches out of one entree and its rice. A large soup is about 3 good-sized portions, also. Pices are quite reasonable. Just be sure to ask for what sauces you want, because they no longer throw in a few packs of everything.

Very good everyone says its the go to place. I thought overall pretty darn good. We ordered several shrimp.dishes and the generals chicken.

This is yet ANOTHER reason I hate this area. Upon seeing all the stellar reviews for this joint I decided to stop for takeout while on my way home from the Charlotte area. Very easy; spring rolls and beef fried rice. Spring rolls-fine. Out of a box but that's fine for a small joint; it's expected. No biggie. Beef fried rice????? The slimy brown substance which somewhat resembled beef was in fact not beef. After eating through 70% of the dish ( due to pure starvation- beefy substance not included) I find a bug!... Yep! I'm a transplant here to Carolina and I haven't found one good thing about living here yet especially the food!! ***** This was my experience and I want to encourage all those who frequent this place to continue to do so.

Great food!

Went for the first time on Christmas day. Huge mistake because everyone else in the city did the same. But the place handled it with poise. Everyone there was busting ass to get the orders out as fast as possible. The food was good and worth the price. What I ordered want quiet what I expected, but every chef is a little different with their style. Overall, it's a nice little take out joint.

Started going here because they're the only Chinese place with online ordering and I don't want to be near a buffet any time soon. So I spend over $30-40 each time for individual plates. The only meat I get with noodles is chicken, they have the flattened kind which I don't like. Last time it tasted like fish, 2 of us verified it. Sad I can only get veggie in my noodles now. Change your oil and clean your grill, gross.

Egg foo young, the gravy was like a sesame chicken sauce, was good, but not what I expected.

Best Chinese food around and affordable

Some of the best sweet and sour pork of anyplace I have eaten. Dumplings are great as well. Nice place to grab some takeout.

Amazingly good Chinese takeout! Small one table establishment. Vegetables were crisp, sauces complemented, did not over power, the dishes. Very reasonably priced. One warning, if you are just passing through and not going to a home with utensils and sauces, ask for them. They are not automatically supplied. Definitely will return next time we are in town!

What a hidden gem! All our food was delicious (orange chicken, sesame chicken, and general tso’s chicken), the staff was friendly, and the prices very reasonable given the large portion sizes. Each entree and dinner combo was at least two generous portions. We’ll definitely be back!

Take Out Only but the best Chinese Food in the Area. Food is always made fresh and not too greasy. I never liked Moo Goo Gai Pan till i tasted theirs, the vegetables are an amazing healthy choice for a Chinese menu! General Tsos, Sesame Chicken, Sweet N Sour, & Wonton Soup are excellent.

Their chicken has the strangest texture.

I tried to call in an order and the girl who answered asked if I could hold on a second. I waited for almost 15 minutes until I was hung up on. They have good food but this was not a good experience

They have great food I highly recommend eating here. Well u can't actually eat here since it only has 1 table but u can order some take out. My only complaint is the price. I usually order some scallion chicken and fried rice (that's what the picture is) and that alone is $11.20 although I've already eaten from the bowl twice and u can see what I still have left. They put alot in the bowl thankfully. I wouldn't pay it if it didn't taste so good and have so much food in it. Overall its a great place to get food.

We have patronized this family owned and run (take out only!) restaurant serving delightfully delicious, authentic food, almost exclusively since our first meal there years ago. No other Asian restaurant we have patronized here measures up to this place, where the gracious owners are always welcoming and responsive to special requests. Long may they prosper.
